Long Life Prayers Retreat

Noble Bodhisattva... Swift... Fearless... Compassionate...
These words, normally used to describe the Bodhisattva Tara, can also be aptly used to describe Kagyu Samye Ling's two beloved Rinpoches, Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche.
For over 40 years, Samye Ling has been guided by Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche, and more recently by his brother, our Abbot Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche. Their tireless compassion and heartfelt wish to benefit all beings has enabled them to help thousands of people all over the world.
As a sign of our deep gratitude, last weekend (26th and 27th November) we dedicated two days of Tara prayers to their long life. Green Tara Prayers were chanted in the morning, dedicated to Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche, and in the afternoon White Tara prayers, dedicated to Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche. The weekend ended with the Venerable Gyamtso Tashi leading us all to the Butterlamp House to light 1000 lamps.
